UT3 will support Mouse & Keyboard on PS3

According to Mark Rein..

checked with Steve Polge and he said that YES we are supporting
keyboard and mouse in Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3. He is confident we
are doing it in a way that will be balanced without feeling "gimped"
for either side. We'll also allow people to choose whether or not they
want to allow mixed controller vs. keyboard/mouse games or not.

what im debating is if i want UT for ps3 or am i willing to wait for the xbox crowd which is most of the group here. ALthough more and more are getting ps3 it seems. So maybe i should go put 5 on it. But geez. COD4 Halo3 WarHawk and UT3. man where is the time.

Yeah, me too, I will probably get it during the x-mas season when more bundles are available...but now with the rumors of a new PS3 version I might wait a little bit more until I am sure when it will be out... anyway, even if it is true I do not think it will be out over here until fall next year and I do not think I will wait the long...


Back to the topic, these arereally important news, maybe people does not realise but to support keyboard is a key in this next-gen as now PC players are turning their eyes to the console world more and more...and the first thing that stops them from even considering giving a chance to the 360 or PS3 are the controllers, many do prefer keyboard over any controller... Microsoft will never support keyboard as they wanna keep alive the PC world... SONY doesn't care, they go 100% in their vision and that's the PS3 being the central source of entertainment in your leaving room... the machine is designed to grow feature-wise


I have never been a PC gamer, for me the PC is just a tool that I use to check stuff and connect to work when I need to work from home..but I assume that any PC gamer will be willing to give a chance to a console that would support keyboard and can release the most amazing RPG and RTS games besides of course FPS and platformers among the main genres...I wonder if Microsoft would ever give up and supportkeyboard in games?...if they do, maybe you would need to buy a "360 keyboard", that's another thing I like from the PS3, that it is like a PC, it is very"peripheral-friendly", for example when I buy my PS3 I know that I do notneed to buy a keyboard nor a headset as the USB keyboard I have andthe bluetooth hands-free from my mobile will probably work in the PS3 without anyproblem

I'll play with mouse and keyboard in all likelihood seeing as it's so much easier, only it will be odd as I don't know what I will do to give myself a surface to put it on while I'm on my recliner.

I agree with you Mazz not sure I would play with keyboard & mouse if I had a PS3 but having the option to do so is nice.

i doubt i will but i love the fact that they kept controller guys in mind and you can limit your game to only controller or mouse and keyboard. smart move imo.
