Purchase a Mac mini or eMac?

Well, my computer just died on me. It was an old one anyway. I've never had a "new" computer, I always get hand-me-downs. However, this time I want to buy a new computer. Anyone have any opinions on the mini? There is another PC in the house that is up and running, but I am looking at a Mac for this purchase.

*edit* actually I think leaning towards the eMac route, but I'll be paying attention to what the word is about the mini when it comes out.

Do it. Do it. Once you go Mac you won't go back. lol. But for a entry level mac it's the shizznit. It's really a Powerbook mac without the price.

No get the Mini Mac, better then eMac and goes with iLife.

Thought you'd been a mac guy for awhile. hmm.

Honestly, if you have a monitor and keyboard laying around, the mini's the way to go IMO. If not, the eMacs are pretty darned sweet as well.

i dunno, its kind of a toss up. the emac and mini are about the same on specs. i guess the big difference would be if you need the built in monitor or not. i would also consider how soon you need the computer, cuz the mini will prolly be back ordered for a while.

I love the mods that are already trying to put it in a car. Mini is the same size as a ar stereo. A mini cooper with a mini mac and LCD headrest. iTunes in your car, that's some crazy shit.

I'm not in a hurry to buy one. Probably wouldn't be able to drop any money for one until mid-to-late spring. When I'm ready to buy, if I can't find a mini, I may just try to find a good iMac G4 used. I've got plenty of time to think about it.

Purchase a Mac mini or eMac?

I own an eMac and will be getting a Mac mini this Saturday. I'd say the Mac mini just because I personally prefer discrete CPU's and monitors over all-in-ones. That's just my preference, though. The eMac is a great computer with a very nice screen.
