Google Fiber Announcement in KC today

This can't come soon enough to my "fiberhood"! I have 15 down and 1 up with TW but I still hate that they're the only one to choose from besides ATT. I live in the KC northland so I'm sure my hood won't be done until after midtown is done.

I am north of the river so its not near me.... yet I hope.

Wow we might be! I am in south west Liberty near Glenaire. But I bet the 35 and/or 435 will be the dividing lines if it does get near us.

I'm currently working on this project for Google. We have been in serious mode for a few weeks now making sure their database was ready for everyone to request service. Really hope KC does well so they start expanding quickly.

Well, either way, KCK is going to be first - but who the hell wants to live in KCK? There's a lot of area to cover in this metro, KC is one of the largest geographic areas in the country (not population, but area).

Maybe TW will start offering better deals now that they will have some real competition. They already sent me a gift yesterday (free showtime for 6 months) and I wondered what instigated that, but now I know.
