Problems with Disconnecting from RS3: BA?
I drop out of every game after 1-2minutes - automatically - says connection failed. Then it goes to the dashboard, checks my connection, says its fine and reboots RS3: BA. Rinse, repeat.
Anone else having these issues? Because of the timing, it is hard to determine if it is Xbox Hardware, Ubi or my ISPs fault.
Hmm...I will try to figure this out....

Update: Ok this is bad...I cannot connect to ANY Xbox games for longer than 2 minutes...
My PC is fine with my connection, it is only my Xbox, which, unless it somehow fixes itself, could mean trouble. My ISP has already said that there is no maintenance in my area, and no one else on these boards or on others havecomplained about Xbox issues...if anyone could think of a possible solution to this it would be MUCH appreciated!
My setup is Cable from wall into modem, cable from modem to Xbox - nothing else (I swap my comp out when on my Xbox and vice versa) That is why it worries me - no firewalls (that I know of - maybe there is some weird setup I need to fix - I am computer stoopid), not going thru a router, etc.
R part 2
Update 2: Now I am worried it is my Xbox itself (those who played RS with me before might remember that for some reason my Xbox would stop and load the enemy the first time I saw them, and no one else ever had this happen to them). I just played SOCOM II for a half hour straight with no drops or disconnects
That means my PS2 and my PCare fine - there is something wrong with the way my Xbox is "communicating" with my modem. Grrr!!!

Nope, I've never had that problem. The only problem that I've had
is trying to connect to a Retrieval or Total Conquest game while it was
in the middle of the round. It will drop you back out to the
title screen, but it won't give you a connection error.
Eventually it'll let you in.
That's odd man, sounds like it might be a router problem.
*edit* nevermind...just saw that you don't have a firewall. You
may want to call your isp back and ask them to make sure they have
certain ports open on their firewalls. Not sure what the ports
are, I know someone posted them somewhere on this board. If you
do a search you should be able to find them, and confirm with your isp
that those ports are open.
*double edit* Or better yet, you might want to get a router, that way
the modem can establish communications with the router and your xbox
will only have to talk to the router. Worth a shot I suppose.

Hmm, not real sure what is going on there. I would suggest going through a router, but if there is no firewall then it should be a constant connection and shouldn't drop since all ports are open. It's possible that your nic card on the xbox is going bad and cannot hold the connection. If thats the case, you might have to call M$ and see what they can do. Does it drop on every game or just Black Arrow? I can suggest an alternative method to resolve the issue but it is not the most ethical thing to do. I will just say if the xbox will boot up, then you can get about $80 at your local gamestop for a new one. And that is all I will say on that one.

There are some issues that will cause your Xbox to not be able to hold a connection. There are some troubleshooting tips on the Xbox site. This is the link. You might want to try those things if you haven't aready.
