Mass Effect 3 Endings (*****SPOILERS*****)

So I just finished Mass Effect 3 and I'm not even sure what just happened.....lol

My overall Galactic Readiness was at 89%, not sure what my EMS was. I think I was still around the 3600 mark but I forgot to check before heading to Earth. I probably should have paid attention to that more during this playthrough. I'll be playing through the game again, I'll make sure to try to get EMS up higher.

At the end, I decided to go the Synthesis route:

The third solution is SYNTHESIS. You can add your energy to the Crucible's. Everything you are will be absorbed, and then sent out. The chain reaction will combine all synthetic and organic life into a new framework, a new DNA. The cycle will end. Synthesis is the final evolution of life.

What endings did everyone else get?

At the end, I decided to go the Synthesis route

I felt the same way. I thought I was a lot closer to finishing the game than I was, so I had played longer than I meant to by the time I got there. I kind of stopped paying attention midway through the conversation. I didn't even know that which platform I walked up to made my decision. I randomly walked up to synthesis. I think I would have picked that anyway, so it worked out fine. I thought the ending was OK. I didn't have EDI with me in that mission, so it wasn't confusing that she was still aboard the Normandy. I don't remember her being on the ground to talk to as I was going by all my other squadmates on the way to Anderson, so it makes sense that she'd be on the Normandy. I couldn't tell who came out after Joker and EDI, though. It looked like Ashley. She was on the ground when I started that last mission. Maybe it was Traynor, though.

I didn't understand from the conversation that the Mass Relays would be destroyed with synthesis. I thought that was only if I destroyed all AI. I was actually hoping for a cataclysmic ending where the crucible was just a ruse created by the Reapers that distracted us from fighting them head on. It would have been different to see the Reapers do what they were created for and to see which civilizations were left to emerge as the new advanced species.
