SSX comes out tomorrow. If you can do any of the things in the video below I think you qualify to be an AGE SSX snowboarder!

You know, I was always interested in skate/snowboarding when I was a kid because it looked so badass. But then I see a video like that and I realize how many times you mess yourself up before you get decent.
hey aych thanks for starting this post...i see it got a 9 on IGN which is good news. i have a new worry after reading the review though and searching some forums...is there no real-time multiplayer? ie: ability to race each other live down the mountain? i think its only ghosts, not sure...
I've heard this twice now and it's not accurate, so not sure where that rumor started. This video shows the multiplayer and you can see it's real people. There's always 1 ghost and it's the time you need to beat to move into the next bracket (gold, silver, bronze, diamond, etc..) You can create custom events for your friends and then it will "in game tweet" that you have created an event and people can jump to it and start racing/tricking.
Almost posted this earlier but since it was kinda long I didn't.
GameFly sent me a copy today so I'll be playing in a day or two.

Can't wait! Really enjoyed the previous games, just waiting for UPS to bring it!
I think it's more about what your definition of "real" multiplayer is with this game. I believe the people who are saying there isn't multiplayer are saying you can't start a race with your friends at a start line, get a countdown, then everyone takes off at the same time. You're basically just racing against a leaderboard instead of a typical, standard race you'd see in a game like Forza.
At least, that's how I'm interpreting the complaints from people about there not being multiplayer in this game.
Which really, I don't have a problem with because how else would they be able to handle these races? They've got so many different paths that you'd basically be racing by yourself anyway and just hoping you come out ahead in the end. Part of the reason I like racing against people is to be able to slam and generally make screw around with friends over the course of a race. With SSX, the levels are just way too open to have anything meaningful come out of a race with real people aside from having the fastest time.
'Course, I don't have too much experience with the previous games so I can't say how the races were handled there.
This way of multiplayer also allows for basically limitless number of friends/people to compete against in an event too rather than just setting it up for 4 or 6 player mp. I see your point though about an actual race from the gun to the finish line though. Still looks like fun to me. I'll be on when I get home from work.
