OK so I finally picked up Skyrim today.
Was quite enjoying myself until I discoverd this not even 2 hours into the game!!!
I spent 10 minutes hammering the A button on every bloody surface then went to good old google

no, but i've seen all kinds of glitches throughout this game...none that caused me not to be able to go any further though.

Mine worked fine when I got to that point. I can't tell from the video, but you are pressing the button to activate the stones with the pictures on them, right? You need to match the pattern that you see above. One of the stones (the snake) has fallen from the middle to the floor. Once you get the stones showing the right pics, then activate the lever. Sorry if this is obvious stuff, I just wanted to make sure you saw the patterns.
I ran in to a glitch with the Waking Nightmare quest later in the game. Now I can't complete that quest. I'm just hoping the way I did the quest for Savior's Hide/Ring of Hircine makes up for it. I really want to get all the trophies (PS3) for this game and I need 15 Daedric artifacts to do it. The Waking Nightmare is one of those.All I can say is be sure to manually save periodically. Nothing worse than losing several hours of playtime because of auto-saves.

All I did was backtrack to the entrance and exit/re-enter and it fixed the issue.
Also noticed in the first village (I'm guessing this is global) when I returned the golden claw I then proceded to pick up absolutely everything in the store (well some have the steal warning above) and sold all his shit back to him without penalty
Ohh the other glitch I found which I spoke to yousaw about last night....the damn game won't let me sleep (in the real world that is)
Which is a good thing considering I couldn't stomach more than 2 hours play of Oblivion before getting bored shitless and trading back to the store
I had that one on the 360 but leaving and coming back fixed it. Then had one on the companions quest line animal extermination. The saber cat I was supposed to kill was already dead and nothing I could do would fix it.
when you first go to High Hrothgar and the old bastards are all like "Shout at the targets as they appear", once something appeared, then nothing everytime they would try to make one appear. had to reload a save and everything was fine.
i've got a couple of things stuck in my inventory...which sucks. luckily they only add up to a few pounds. i just have to remember not to pick up anymore talos necklaces, b/c everyone becomes a quest item (i read it's b/c i took one from someplace before i was supposed too...same with some f'n flute). the most glitches i see are with dragons. any random thing can happen with them. i watched a dragon corpse rise up out of the ground once. strange.

I don't believe that's a glitch. How much of the main quest have you done so far?
