My review of Halo 2 (spoiler free)

Now that Halo 2 is out and people are playing it I'd like to give my
review of the Campaign mode. Let me start by saying Joseph Staten has
crafted one heck of a story here. Some movies wish they had a script
this good. I'll just give the basics that a Covenant fleet has attacked
Earth and Master Chief along with Cortana have to do their thing. First
off the graphics have had a major upgrade and push the Xbox to its
limits with everything that is happening on screen, I dont think anyone
will have a complaint in this area. The marine and covenant AI are a
lot smarter this time. I've played heroic and legendary and let me just
say the Elites are now the iron heart of the covenant army. They will
hunt you down in groups and will take cover and wait for reinforcements
if needed. The Marines are smarter but still not as smart as I'd like.
Grunts and jackals are still the same but some jackals will now use the
covenant sniper rifle so watch out!! As far as brutes go I'll just let
you experience them for yourself :smt002 Marines can now drive the
warthog and let you man the gun which comes in handy during certain
missions. All vehicles are boardable and isn't a cheap gimmick since
you will find yourself in some hairy situations where jacking a ghost
and getting the heck out of there will save your skin. Also boarding
works the other way around too so watch out for Brutes and Elites
jacking your ride!! Vehicles and environments are destructible and once
again it plays into your gameplay as this can either hurt or help your
cause. Dual weilding weapons are a joy to use and figuring out what
combo works best is up to you. I personally like the needler and plasma
rifle. I wont go into all the weapons as they have been talked to death
but there are two surprise weapons to discover along with a new
covenant vehicle.



I suppose saying anything else would be spoiler material so I'll end it
by saying I truly enjoyed the campaign mode and I feel it has lived up
to the hype. Bungie has delivered on expanding the halo universe and
leave you salivating for more. The story takes a very big plot twist
that Im not sure everyone will like at first but by the end it makes
perfect sense and I loved it!! As some of you have read there is
controversy about the ending but I say make up your own mind about it.
I personally like it and since Halo is a franchise it makes sense to

Word is there are unlockable multiplayer maps that are unlocked by playing the campaign. Is this true?

*Edit: Thanks for the review. Speaking as someone that didn't think much of the original campaign and plays Halo solely for the multiplayer, I'm actually looking forward to the single player game a little. I don't know when I'll play it, but I'll try to make some time for it! See you Tuesday!!

They still say the classic "wort wort wort" but they do speak english
as well. The beauty of this story is we find out a lot of things about
the covenant and specifically the elites. I cant wait till you guys get
to play as the discussions about the covenant and their motives will be
endless.

heroic. Normal is way too easy and you will blow through it.

I have no intentions of playing on Normal or Easy I have been touching
up my Halo skills all week by TRYING legendary, I don't care who you
are that difficulty is damn near impossible, it seems like your shield
can onlt sustain two hits before your health is gone :-k



as for the review everything sounds sweet, my friend has not read any
information on Halo 2 nor has he seen any of the videos, he wants
everything about the game to be a total surprise, there is no way in
hell he is going to be disapointed.



I am dying to find out as much as I can before it comes out, like I
want to know what the new weapons are and the new vehicle, I also want
to know what it is like flying the banshee too

flying the banshee has changed a bit but i can tell you there is no
greater feeling then jacking a banshee in midair and watching the elite
fall to his death:smt003

my god. see even I find new things and I have been looking hard, I was
under the impression it was just tanks and ghosts that could be jacked,
I have not seen anything else.



is it easy flying the banshee because I love it in the first one, me
and my friend used to play co-op so we could have dog fights in
banshee's.



I read you can roll in this one to avoid rockets and stuff is this
true?(if you don't want anyone else know or feel it is a spoiler can
you PM me I don't want others to feel cheated out of a surprise XD)
