Greetings all,

I've got an unedited game of Red Faction CTF for everyone's enjoyment. Nothing really spectacular happens throughout the match, but for those on the fence you can see how the gameplay looks. The actual match starts around 1:30 into the video and everyone take note of the upper left around 11:01 with Greasy Monk crushing himself with something

Participants in the match were: Rapida, Doble, Greasy, Pesh, PMH, QuasarSquirrel, and RyeRye

So any thoughts on this sort of content? Should I spend the time to edit the video in the future (means less videos) or is the unedited video good enough (means less quality)?

As for the video maybe just a little editting. In this case to cut out the for 90 seconds where there is nothing happening.

Yeah when I uploaded the video I didn't check the beginning for nothing going on, but I did check the end. In hindsight that wasn't so brilliant.

How does that differ from anything else you do?    I'll have to see if I kept the recording for that match.  Then, I can find out where I dropped that building on my head so we can all laugh at my ineptitude.

I'm curious which building fell on you? I can only guess a tower? Those always get me because I seem to wind up beneath them whenever I'm destroying the last piece.

 rapida, you have some steady thumbs. I can't walk on the pipe without falling off it right away. And I also liked the part where you hammered through the roof and took out one of the guys inside!

I think greasy should post the videos right away since it takes him forever to do it. and you can work on the edited ones.

I'd like to edit the videos and make them look all spiffy, but it just takes forever. First you record, let's say three hours of gameplay, then you re-watch the videos and try to find the good parts. So let's say that takes 2 and a half hours. Then you edit out the bad parts and insert comments and music which will take another hour and a half. Then you wind up with a nice looking 15 minute video for 4 hours of work. Not that great of a return in my opinion.

Very nice Rap! I would have liked to see the scoreboard at the end though, especially since I actually had a pretty good round!

I personally like the longer and unedited videos, they give you a better feel of the overall action. Sometimes the edited "highlights" videos may have a higher production quality, but they can tend to get a bit disjointed or confusing at times without a good lead up to each action moment.
