Highlights from the 6/23/09 Red Faction Guerrilla game night. Capturing during spectate mode would be 100% better if it displayed names of who was killing who. Wouldn't you like to know who the killer and victim were around the 2:13 mark? Sorry I didn't take the time to edit the video. There are no transitions or music, and a few clips would be better if a little slow-motion was applied (like the very last one with the flag carriers killing each other).

Looks like it was a blast.  Watching people play CTF with jetpacks made me nostalgaic for Tribes 2.

I use the Blackmagic Intensity (here is a link to the Intensity Pro, it appears the regular Intensity product which only has HDMI has been discontinued). The setup is HDMI from 360 to an HDMI splitter - one to the TV, the other to the Intensity card in a PC. The card supports 1080i, but I play/capture in 720p so I don't have to deal with interlacing (and my eyes are not good enough to notice a difference between 1080p/1080i/720p  ).

I went with the Intensity because I did not want to give up HDMI or switch cables to capture. This setup is completely transparent. If I want to capture, I just go the PC and start the capture. I didn't know of any other way with HDMI at the time, and there may be better/cheaper ways to do it now.

I capture and save off the individual clips with VirtualDub, then make the video in Sony Vegas 9 Movie Studio. I used to render the final video from Vegas in WMV format, but for this one I tried something different. I rendered the video from Vegas in an uncompressed, AVI format. Then used MeGUI to encode it in using x264 (YouTube likes this better, imo).

Nice video!  That is too bad there is not an option to show names in Specator mode. Or at least the list of who killed who so we can get a good idea of who it was.  Still it is fun to watch.  I think the video actually makes the gameplay seem more fast paced that it really is, but maybe you just get use to the pace in game.

Wow, I thought the total opposite. I thought the video made the game play look more like Gears, slower place than it really is. I die and re spawn every 30 seconds, so it must make the game feel faster to me.

I still can't figure out why more Agers haven't tried this game out yet.  After I saw a video clip, I knew I had to check it out!

I know! It would be so much better knowing that. I'm sure the smacktalk would fly if we knew who placed that remote charge around the 2:13 mark. The victim is totally unaware.

After watching the vid again, I wish I would have taken some time to edit. I have a "Denied!" sound effect from Unreal Tournament that would have been great to have played around the 4:13 mark (when I'm so close to scoring with the flag, but get stuck by PMH360  ).

oh this video definitely made the game appeal to me.

Summer is a slow season for me in terms of gaming. Too many other fun things to do and spend my money on....well...if i had extra money I'd probably pick up this game. lol

I was totally reminded of Tribes the other night. Man, those were the good ole days.

I can't watch the video at work. I know there were a couple times I killed some team mates during damage control because I put a singularity bomb on the enemy tower but then our guys came up to attack the tower. I couldn't warn anyone in time. lol

I just wish I had more MP nights to play as I would totally grab this!
