I downloaded this yesterday after buying that 4000 points card!!! I'll dig into this after Ghostbusters! It's too bad it seems like the dlc will be coming to end after 1 more pack. I seriously would keep buying and buying. This is one of my favorite games

Man, I really want to get into this, I'm swamped with games right now.  Maybe they'll put out a DLC lump package by the time I get around to it.

There's supposed to be a game of the year edition in the fall that will have all the dlc on disk.

I think it was just the first 3 DLC that will be on the Game of the Year.

Well, I already have the game.  Thanks for the heads up though.  I just need to snag the DLC and 100 hrs in which to complete it all.

I'm probably going to download this tonight.  What's the best weapon/item/armor you guys have found in the PL DLC?

There is no good armor in this one. The best you'll find lying around is combat armor. The best weapon is the lever action rifle(special variant is backwater rifle) What makes it special is that it has a critical hit multiplier of 5, so if you've upped your chances of getting a critical hit, and have the better critical perk every shot will deal 120 points of damage or more. On a side note there's apparently a glitch(?) with Haley's hardware, over time if you visit him constantly his repair skill can progress up. By the time I was about to leave his skill was at 100% so I brought all my rare/non-repairable items to him to to fix up. This is a godsend for folks who like t-51b armor, Gauss rifle or alien blaster.

I'm going to have to go back there to check that Rifle out. I saw it but never used it, I just figured my other weapons were better.

Vacation in Point Lookout I guess...lol.

I'm doing Point Lookout right now. I gotta say that I love the atmosphere. I love the inbred hillbilly characters. You guys were right, they are bullet sponges!!!! Holy crap. I had to use my tesla canon on the tribal guys at the mansion...........worked perfectly till the damn thing broke.

Any word on Mothership Theta is supposed to be out? I haven't reinstalled Fo3 after updating my OS, so I figure i'll wait until it comes out. How is Point Lookout?

I can't seem to find a release date other than "July 2009".

All you really need to know about Point Lookout:
    -Hill Billies
    -Bullet Sponges
    -Awesome Ballistics Weapons
    -Lots To Loot
    -Very Open
    -Mind Fuck

My high Charisma makes me impervious to bullets!

Nothing announced yet, I would guess somewhere beween very end of July and mid-August (based on their comments of "about" five weeks between releases).

Mind you, I wonder, depending on sales, whether they might come out with yet MORE DLC (at least until Fallout: New Vegas)... I mean, they've said this is all they have planned, but that's far from an ironclad NO.  Geeked

Finished up Point Lookout last night, and I think that it should be the model for any other DLC that comes out for a Fallout game. Very atmospheric, fun quests and a decent length. Much better than Anchorage or the Pitt IMO.

I'm kind of pissed off at the latest PC patch though. I'm not sure whether or not Vista is the cause or not, but there's a sound codec integrated recently that is playing hell with the game. I keep freezing whenever the game plays across that particular channel and everything i've tried either doesn't work or causes something else to break. Definitely a user beware if you're using an integrated sound card with Vista.

I agree, but where's the love for the pitt man? It's second best in my bookYes, but yep, anchorage can suck it. Can't speak to the audio issue since I play mine on the 360.

I wasn't too big on the Pitt, but I didn't spend a lot of time with it either. I'll probably roll on a new toon after I finish poking around the Broken Steel stuff and give it another try.

I noticed that the achievements for Mothership Theta were added last night, and they're giving a release date of August 3. Hopefully it'll launch without a hitch.

The Pitt was good but seemed to go on for a bit too long, imagine that.  Got Broken Steel and Point Lookout all lined up but first need to hustle my butt through the main quest line.  Three Dog  has only just put Rivet City on my map so I've got some playing to do.

I've love to start Point Lookout early but heard that a high-level character (20+) is almost mandatory...

I went through it in the low teens. Granted, i'm on PC using mods, but most of them actually make the game more difficult. You really only need to watch out for the Tracker...they're bullet sponges and hit pretty hard, but if you treat them like Deathclaws (cripple the limbs) then they're pretty manageable.

The Tracker, eh? My current character is a melee/explosions specialist. I wonder how they'll react to an RPG softening followed by an auto axe to the face.  Oooh tasty.  Irradiated deep south, here I come!
