The little I've played has been really good so far the story is interesting and the locations are very cool I'm loving the cave I'm at now.

I started a new character to play the DLC since it had been many months since I played and I lost connection with my original character (it just wasn't me anymore after killing so many people and having a huge bounty everywhere I went - darn cheevos anyway).

So the only thing I can tell you about the DLC is that your character must be level 10 to get the quest. I just got to level 10 and intend to start the quest but keep getting sidetracked with other things. As Skyrim goes, it may be a long time before I ever make it to the guy with the quest.

OH, you get randomly attacked by vampires everywhere at night and one of them had this black hound with him. I actually ran away since I wasn't high enough to kill them at the time.

I really enjoyed the DLC. A lot of stuff from the Game Jam was included(still waiting for spears) and the new stuff is all really cool. Vampires are much more fun to play now since you are no longer attacked on site when progressed to stage four. My favorite part of the DLC though is Serana. Finally a follower who is actually a real person and not just a walking storage container. It's a shame you can't marry her.

That said this is Bethesda were talking about and that beta test did nothing to solve the bug problems. Stuff like not being to able to upgrade the house in Whiterun or hoods making your vampire appear bald. My female vampire also suffered a bug that made her look filthy or burnt after becoming a vamp.

Don't get me started on the god damned Vampire attacks! They should have have called this dlc Townguard because that's what you'll be doing; unless you don't mine losing all the merchants and quest givers to this scourge. In my game Riften is a complete ghost town except for Brynyolf and his Falmer blood elixir.

      Thanks guys.
Needed some feedback as I'm moving at the weekend and need something to keep me going untill I get back online.
Might just stick this in the DL que before I go

wait......so the DLC effects the whole game now if left to it's own devices....cool

Thinking on this, it sounds like I'd be better off actually finishing the game before I get the DLC.
      Is that the case?

does finishing the game effect the dlc one way or the other?
