So close to home!

I'm still using the same setup, although not as much since Forza 3 is such a disappointment when compared with Forza 2.

But maybe they'll put the broken Forza back together in the 2011 version - I hope!!

This setup just MAY make my driving a little better, but I don't expect to kick butt, just get a great amount of enjoyment from the experience. My skills are rather ordinary. I'm one of those people to NEED the wheel just to stay on the track.

I have not done a side by side test of HDMI and component. The main reason I got the Elite was so I could easily move it from my main TV (1080p) to this setup. The main TV has the HDMI cable plugged in permanently, and the racing rig has the Component cable.

The Elite come with both cables, which is great. But I also have a VGA cable so when I get inspired, I might do a test of Component/VGA/HDMI side by side on the three identical TVs.

Moby, I loved your idea of the wind in the face from the center speaker! Now I'm totally deaf of course, but I no longer need to comb my hair.

Are you using HDMI from the Elites and have you run any "tests" to see if you can see a difference between the component and HDMI?

Wow. I am going to completely claim that I am at a technological disadvantage when you kick my butt in Forza 2. Sweet setup... I'm jealous.

If you turn it up loud enough does that center speaker give you the feeling of wind on your face while driving ;)
