Just get the carbon faceplate and tape some black construction paper to the sides of the 360. Instant Elite! (As far as the upscaling DVDs ... just sit further back from your TV)

My only real interest would be to acquire a quieter xbox with dvd upconversion. Oh yes, and black would also match all my other gear too.

I really had no interest in the elite but if the trade in is a reasonable deal I'd consider it.

Well I dont need the 120gb HD and my tv only has 2 hdmi ports and they are both being used, the only reason I would want one is because its black and would match all my other components...yeah I'm ate up like that...lol

we'll see what the deal is before i decide to say no

Interesting. It definitely goes against what was said on the release date and I don't think MSFT would foot the cost, but just my opinion. However, Samsung did something similar with it's 1st generation of DLP tv's when they changed them to include discrete codes, so you never know!
