Cursed!

Black magic night!

We've been struck down

Down in this Hell

Spells surround me day and night

Stricken by the force of evil light

The force of evil light

Cast

Under his spell

Blinding my eyes

Twisting my mind

Fight to resist the evil inside

Captive of a force of Satan's might

A force of Satan's might!

Fighting the curse

Break it I must

Laughing in sorrow

Crying in lust!!

*Hitting that high note in "luuuuuuuuuuuust!" is gonna be sweet*

To me it seems like mostly crap since the beginning of DLC. Where's the metal?! There are so many metal bands they could release but they don't. Anthrax, Nevermore, Kreator, Suicidal Tendencies, Nuclear Assault, Exodus... All we've got so far was some Metallica, Megadeth, and couple Testament songs.

You guys seem to be forgetting that Harmonix can't just chart the music that they want in the game... especially now that the music industry is bitching about how they're not getting a fair cut.

Plus music is subjective. What one person likes, another will always hate. Theres no way the can please everyone.

Yea! Where's the metal?!?!  Except for Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Avenged Sevenfold, Motley Crue, System of a Down, Machine Head, Devil Driver, All That Remains, Static-X, Yngwie Malmsteen, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, White Zombie, Black Tide, Prong, Bullet for My Valentine, Ministry, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Godsmack, Lacuna Coil, Alice Cooper, Underoath, Evile, Haunted and At the Gates we haven't gotten any metal.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, kajota.

Bullet for My Valentine is way too gay to be "metal."

I know they can't just do whatever music they want, obviously. Guess I wasn't specific enough: we need more old thrash metal. I don't like most of the bands that Kajota mentioned. I used to be a huge death metal fan and back then when it was new everyone hated the cookie monster vocals. now practically every band does it and it's friggin old.

I'll take (and usually do) just about any metal I can get. Anthrax, Nevermore, Kreator, Suicidal Tendencies, Nuclear Assault, Exodus would certainly be bands I would want to see. Especially Anthrax and Exodus. Anthrax should seriously have a full CD for D/L in Rock Band. I'll take State of Euphoria. And even though I'm not a big Slayer fan, there should be more Slayer.

Yeah, in digital's defense, Rock Band could use more *good* metal. Of the band's kajota listed, I personally could do without at least a third, if not half. Everyone's taste is different so we won't agree on all of them, but there are so many other good bands that could be tapped, such as:

Anthrax

Black Label Society

Chimaira

Clutch

Corrosion of Conformity

Damageplan

Danzig

Death

The Dillinger Escape Plan

Down

Flotsam & Jetsam

Hatebreed

Helmet

Iced Earth

Life of Agony

Mastodon

The Misfits

Mushroomhead - I'm from Cleveland so I have a soft spot for these dudes

Napalm Death

Obituary

Opeth

Overkill

Pantera

Paradise Lost

A Perfect Circle

Primus

Pro-Pain

Sacred Reich

Sepultura

Suicidal Tendencies

Tool

Type O Negative

Venom

And that's just off the top of my head. I wouldn't expect everyone else to agree with all or even most of those, but I would trade out BFMV and Disturbed and some of the death metal bands in a heartbeat.

On another note, I'm REALLY interested to see how they're going to clean up Hammer Smashed Face's lyrics. Harmonix probably doesn't have the balls to leave it alone.

Kajota, you posted just before I did....but you're 100% right. There should ALWAYS be more Slayer. Yes

Hostile, I agree with 99% of your list. Only thing I can think to add right now is MOD.

And yeah, how the hell will they clean up the lyrics? I really, really wish they would offer explicit versions for sale. When I was singing Dyer's Eve on GHM my wife was like why'd you just drop the fbomb it doesn't say that on the screen! Sorry, it's not the same song if you remove some words. That was the only swear on Justice and it had a real power behind it. It belongs there.

Ah the joys of censorship...

I would love to see Sacred Reich and Mushroomhead in Rock Band.

The way they cleaned up Sir Psycho Sexy was by just removing the lyrics in half the song. It sucked. Luckily I know all the real lyrics so I can add them back in when I play the song.

personally, i think the selection of metal in these games is quite good. I've been waiting for a Manson son forever (other than that crappy remix they put on GH3). Of course there are always more bands I'd like to see them put on there, especially mushroomhead, but I know that they can only do so much.
