[Bargain Bin] 50% off Big Ticket Videogame Items at Amazon with a little work...

Amazon has a deal running through July 11th that if you trade-in $50 worth of games you get 50% off your next videogame or videogame accessory purchase made before August 31st.  The only exclusions are consoles and handhelds meaning you should be able get 50% off big ticket items like 120gb hard drives, the SF4 TE arcade stick, the Tekken LE bundle, maybe even the Rock Band Beatles Bundle.

Amazon currently has the trade-in value of Boom Blox Bash Party at $28.  Best Buy is selling it today for $30.  So if you buy two copies and send them into Amazon, you can essentially purchase a 50% off code for 4 bucks, which could be used to save a ton of money if you're planning on purchasing a big ticket item or new game in the near future.

Nice tip!  $4 for 50% off can be well worth it.

I just checked and Boom Boom Bash Party is trade valued at $18 now.  That means you need to buy three for $90 to get $54 + 50% off back.  Great idea, though.

Can anyone confirm if this works on pre-order items, such as The Beatles Rock Band Bundle?

Something tells me it won't.
