Sounds like a good deal, however, Circuit City is notorious for making these deals, then not having any of the promo item in stock.  They don't offer rainchecks either.  Expect to be disappointed.

Ya I forget where/who posted this but they were talking about it already I think last week.  CC will prolly have 5-6 of the 1600 point cards per store.  Also the GOW fans think it's crazy talk waiting till sunday to pick it up lol

In other Circuit City news, I've heard they're closing somewhere around 150 stores. Better get this Gears deal before your local store shutters!

If you call 1-888-244-6594 to pre-order they ship the game including the 1600 point card, guaranteed.  The only issue is that you won't get it on release day.  For $20, I feel it's worth it. You could always upgrade free shipping for around $7.

It is tempting, but I've got a Best Buy gift card left from my birthday and that will let me get it on Friday.

155 stores are closing by the end of the year.  Laying off about 15% of their work force and they just received notice from the NYSE that they are under their requirement to be traded on the exchange (if they fail to get above $1 a share on average for 30 days straight in the next 6 months it's removed).   Needless to say it's not looking good for them so don't go buying extended warranties from them :)   All the info is here I just tried to sum it up:  money.cnn.com/.../index.htm

NEWS TODAY: Circuit City is to close ALL  of it's Pheonix area stores by years end. The only stores left open in Arizona will be the two in Tucson and the Yuma store. I am looking forward to the clearance specials they will have...
