Well, I have been doing a little research into changing my Gamertag and trying to find one that is not used on XBL is a little tedious not to mention time consuming. So I found a nice little site that can help with changing your tag or making a new one for the first time and best of all, it’s FREE!

Go to http://www.gamertagcreator.com  and from there you can use the random generator or submit a Gamertag of your own, and the site will check it to what is on XBL for you. You can even look at other Gamertags they have in their database that people have suggested and pick to see if that Gamertag is available.

The controls are easy to use and there is a place to save your favorites to and check availability from. The only bad part is that when you leave the site, it does not remember the tags you saved, so make sure you have one picked out before you leave. Otherwise, you will have to cycle through the hundreds of suggested Gamertags to find the one you want again.

It’s a nice little simple site that could help you find just the right tag if you are changing your Gamertag or creating a new one. Just follow the directions to the right of the screen and your all set.
