Gamestop called last night and said my copy of SC:DA will be available today. Who wants to play ? The XBL scheduled down time isn't until midnight.

I will be picking this up tonight after class, assuming its at wal-mart. Looking forward to Thursday night!

um, Grumpy, today is when it's down... 3am EST this morning is approx. when it went off, and scheduled for 24 hours...

I thought it was Tuesday Midnight PST

Edit I just double checked MN post and your right Sym [:@] Maybe maintenance will go smoothly and be back online tonight.

Assuming all goes well and I am home from MD and get my copy, I will have had very little time to try it out when gametime rolls around. Can we be sure to try the coop vs the bots challenges so I can get accustomed to things? Real people right off the bat... well, that might be bad. [:$]

Curses, Wal-Mart isn't releasing it until the 19th, or I could have just been talking to someone who didn't have a clue.

That could be because it takes 2 days to get the game into the mammoth WalMart distribution chain (which makes sense, because remember that even though GoW is coming out 11/7, Emergence Day is 11/12 to allow the big box guys like BB and WM to get it into their distribution networks - I recall Mark Rein specifically referring to WM in explaining this situation).

Oh, and I just read the coop is for 2 players only.... so maybe that's not so good for a larger AGE room! Hopefully someone will be on Friday during the day that I can try it with.

of GoW, the guy that helped me at Gamestop when I put down the preorder
said they would get the game on the 7th but it wouldnt release until
the 12th, period. I didn't think he was right but I wasn't going
to argue with him. I just hope I get to pick it up by the 9th or
10th so I can play during the three day weekend.
