plantronics x20 headset

does anybody know anything about this mic, if its good, circ you tried this one out?
i'd like the halo2 one, it look's comfotable but i don't know about the $40 price tag, this one looks like a cheaper version, so anybody know anything?

that little $5 mic isn't cutting it, i here people saying it echos real bad, and it's just uncomfortable.

This probably doesnt help, but I just picked up the x10 (Plantronics over the head version) and so far it seems great. I tested it in a room with Symchris and Predicon tonight and they said it sounded fine. I could also hear them no problem.

I saw the x20 but decided not to get it. I didnt feel like spending the extra $10 (Will most likley put that toward Outlaw Golf 2 tomorrow) and I didnt care for the over the ear style for me personally.

I did also think when looking at it that it looked very similiar to the Halo 2 one.

No, I haven't but I can say that I'm not a fan of ear bud style
headsets. My guess though is that Plantronics can make a better headset
than Madcatz can (well, madcatz resold their $5 thing). Plantronics is
a headset designer and manufacturer and has zillions of different
headsets out there, and presumably they know how to deal with
ergonomics of ear bud technology.



My guess is that this would be good/high quality and generally
comfortable. But that's a guess and I can only vouch for the X10 model
($20 = the right price for a poor mo fo like me).
