I'd bet if you ordered 1 copy on separate Amazon accounts you'd be safe... but I'd check with their CS.

I know that one of the pre-order bonuses at Gamestop is a monster challenge arena (or some such thing). My understanding is that it's basically a version of the Moxxi Underdome, but it's separate from the campaign, and is meant to be used to level up your character and get loot that you can then take into the main game.

Haha, I somehow managed to get into a stupid debate on rapt with some tool trying to tell me that by using a mouse & keyboard it somehow completely changes the gameplay of a game.

Yeah I couldn't shoot shit on the 360 version of Borderlands after playing it on the PC.

Oh man I love it!!

A couple of quick things I noticed.
- They ditched the radar from B1 and went with a mini map in the top right. I think I like this better.
- That turret is baddass!
- If you're done with the turret you can reload and save time for the next use.
- Arenas are not in B2.
-Dueling in in B2.
- No button pressing to pick up ammo and money.
- Now joining coop games you gain progress unlike B1 if you are at different stages of game.
- Coop has a way to trade with players.

I'll probably find more as I finish watching this video haha.

I have it pre-ordered for the 360.

I didn't play it with AGE when I first got Borderlands. For game nights, how does a person's level factor? I remember if I'm a level 40 playing in a level 50's game, I'm pretty puny and ineffective although I level quickly. Likewise a level 50 in a level 40's server is overpowered and doesn't receive much XP.

What has been the prevailing wisdom?

FYI- Golden Keys - Important Details, Instructions and Information (http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=147008)I have been considering this "golden-key" for a while and holding out to use the thing was one of my thoughts even prior to reading this topic. I'm also going to speculate at the possibility of the loot being one of the new "Bandit" manufacture types like those we have seen in use in preview vids. "Slag" a new elemental type of weapon could be an alternative though I would think if only you wait to use the key. Or I could just be full of shit and have no clue what to expect.

They did fairly well in the beginning but once you get to level 5, they are worthless. I sold mine not to long ago.

No worries about that. I would've joined up with you if you wanted. But yeah, BL2 will be pretty much all that I play for a few weeks or so. And you've only got about a day or so to wait, and trust me, it's worth it.

Seeing as I only recently got into Borderlands I went with a different class as the sniper was the one I used in the first game.
Mainly because I got up to the first big boss (Rakk Hive) and gave up after several attempts. Didn't really want to end up there again and have to start all over

The goliaths are awesome easily my favorite enemy so far, did the achievement with the first one I came across. Was doing the bandit circle of slaughter and 1 round had 4 come out at once, shot the helmets off all of them and lead them to each other I had all 4 on the central platform beating the shit out of each other as I'm laughing my ass off. Then there's the midget goliaths :)

Just a suggestion Jig, but I'm guessing as long as you don't move and set off the auto save beacon in there you could theoretically dashboard if it doesn't work & keep trying!

I'm tempted but want to keep my keys till I get to at least level 20-25. Use one, then use the other towards the end of the game.....

I've been playing single player so that I can experience the story before going into co-op. There have been moments that have made me laugh out loud and moments that have made me cringe. The references to the first game feel like inside jokes that make me feel like I've been let in on a secret. The only one I'll spoil is Crazy Earl yelling "Scrappy" which was the skag pup you rescued for him in the first game. As much as I'd love to be playing with someone right now, I'm very glad that so far I've been able to take in the story.

The first game had the thing where you hold X to pick up all ammo and money that you need at once. In this game you just walk over ammo, health, and money on the ground and it autopicks up without any button press required. Unless it's in a chest, then you still have to press or hold X.

One easy way to level a character is to play with a high level character that is doing Tiny Tina's quest. The low level character stays with Tina and just keeps accepting the quest that keeps failing because the other player is shooting the guy that is supposed to follow you back to Tina's

Apparently you're supposed to have a second character created under your profile, use the second controller the select that character, then just do quests to gain XP for the second character. I didn't create the new toon first so nothing saved :(

Speaking of borderlands interest. God have I completely lost it. I'm level 50 of the commando, so no where to go. Beat the story twice. Tried the gunzerker, find it boring. Tried the assassin, extremely boring. No interest in the siren. I just lost all reason to play this game. Why in the hell did they put a level cap in this game? If they had no level cap, and you could constantly replay the story with harder enemies Id be playing for months, but now ... blah.

Due to my obsession with opening chests, I opened the Golden chest on my first playthrough on the PS3 when I was level 10. The guns weren't that bad. I was able to use them until I was level 17 or so.

400-450 damage @lvl25. But considering I have been using sniper rifles & assault rifles that do around 1200 per bullet it's pathetic really.
And if you sell them all it does is contribute to your death percentage fund :(

There is a ladder off behind you to the left (as you face the gate) on one of the last buildings. Up on top there where the ladder goes there is a lever. There is a power line leading from the gate to it I believe.
