Figured I would post it and try it out later. I have problems myself controlling the ships so any help will do. Anyhow here is cut/paste of it: <div id="intelliTxt">I may just be dumb, and this may be old news to you all, but i just realized how you can get around the default horrible starfighter controls.

when you start the game, go to your options, and pick STARFIGHTER Controls.

then just change the Left Thumbstick to THROTTLE/NONE and the Left Thumbstick to PITCH/TURN.

I just did it, and now the Starfighters fly and handle SO much better. I haven't tried any of the other possible setting combos though. in fact, they handle a good bit like in Crimson Skies (</a>without the fancy moves), now that I've found a good thumbstick combo.</div>

I've been flying pretty well so far and I haven't changed it maybe it will improve it? I'll have to try it out.

how do you change the left thumpstick to both? or am i not reading it right? should one of these be reading right thumbstick?

Thats what I was thinking............. you guys mean change the (L) to the (R)........... and (R) to the (L) right?

i just changed the left to right and it's much easier for me

I still need to remap my 1st person/3rd person button. I'll take care of this at the same time. Thanks for the post!

Vamp there is nothing currently at the left thumbstick click button. I
remapped 1st/3rd function to this. I hit it by mistake from time to
time but it's not that bad. Comes in handy when trying to bring those
AT AT's down.
