I've noticed that almost everyone on my friends list is play battlefront. Do you think it's worth buying almost a month before halo 2 comes out? All I really care about is live gameplay.

I definitley think it is worth it. Like Hit said, the more I play it, the more fun it becomes. It is not the kind of game like Counterstrike or Rainbow 6 where you are in close quarter combat type play. Think of it more like Battlefield 1942 on the PC (If you have happened to play that.) Every map is HUGEEE and outdoors'y. Very VERY fun game, especially when you get the teamwork going (Which usually happens when you play with A.G.E.'rs.)

If you are playing with good people on a good server (as is usually the
case when you use your AGE heavy FL to join a game), then yes, it's
worth fifty US dollars (imho, even if it has some flaws (http://adultgamingenthusiasts.com/AGE/Default.aspx?tabid=30&g=posts&t=2510)).

I agree with everyone else...... (Dam that is starting to sound annoying)

its a good game, and if you love Star Wars as I do then its even better to play the battles that you have only watched on the Movie.

Yeah I watched part 4 of the Trilogy on DVD last week since I picked up the DVD set. As SOON as it was over I had to jump on Battlefront. Im no Star Wars geek, but I do enjoy the movies. Watching the movies then being able to go play it out in Battlefront is just awesome.

Another game that this reminds me of is Tribes 2. Most people who play Tribes 2 either love it or hate it, but Battlefront (and Tribes 2) both have this depth that allows you to grow into various charaters and positions. The weapons also have an nice, consistant, and natural feel. None of them are instant hits, but once you understand the dymanics (arc, rate, clip size, reload time) you can be unstopable. All of that is just the personal point of view, when you enter into a team of dedicated players the magic really starts to happen (with dedicated pilots, snipers, Front and support lines).

I wouldn't get it if you are a run and gun type of guy. I just think there are better games suited for that type of play. But if you are interested in large levels (some levels will take you a couple of minutes to cross on foot) where you play a relevent part (but are not the star) of a mission, this game will serve you well.

I think it's definitely worth it. The gameplay is more arcadey than games like RS3, but it's good nonetheless.

A lot of the skill in SWBF is knowing what to do rather than having an itchy trigger finger. Just my 2 cents.

I think its worth it. Even after Halo 2 comes out, I can see going back to SW: BF on occasion. After all, variety is the spice of life. Why not give it a rent and see what you think?

Sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun with this game and I was thinking about renting Battlefront this weekend to play with a friend of mine who's in town for awhile. Anyone know if split-screen action is any good? Can you go on live with a guest on the same Box? :-k

I love this game. I'm a big SW fan and it's almost like you're playing the movies. I just had my 32nd birthday, and my family surprised me with a cake shaped like a scene on Hoth, complete with my old action figures! Naturally, they bought me the DVD trilogy too, but I haven't had time to watch it since I've been playing so much Battlefront.

I have not played split-screen personally, but my friends all say it is great. The opportunities for teamwork are excellent.

As for 2 on Live, I'm not sure. The manual doesn't say anything specific, and the TV is not currently available.
