"Operation Fake Wedding"

I know alot of people taking off a day for Halo 2, so I decided that I would plan to as well. So, rather than be obvious and just take off the 9th or 10th, I have planned something called "Operation Fake Wedding". Since Halo 2 is released at midnight on the 9th. I took off the 8th and 9th under the cover of a "Wedding". So I get the 9th to play it and the 8th to sit around and make it look less conspicuous. :smt004

I have also spoke with my G/F, friends, and more loyal (to me) coworkers (in case we bump into each other) so we all agree I was not in town between the 6th-9th. :-)

hell, i took my vacation that week--no shit!

picking my copy(ies) up at midnite and sleeping fitfully like a kid on christmas eve then playing ALL DAY LONG!!!

i'll probably get about 8 hrs or so a day for the rest of the week (i still gotta ride my bike) and go back to work with carpal-tunnel syndrome

I'm going with 'Operation: Ask for the day off." Pretty slick, huh? I am normally off on Wed- Thur anyway. Just take one more day. That's what comp time is for. I'm hoping to be online 11/9 around 1230am MST.

Gah, I wish I had a job I could take time off of but in my case it's school and classes/work I don't dare miss lest I fall behind. Since I'm getting it shipped to my home I probablly won't get it till the 10th or later.

I'm taking off. I didn't even have to lie about it! I just told my boss, " Listen, a happy worker is a productive worker!" He didn't really buy that, but when I told him that he had a choice:

1:) he could lose me for the day

2:) I could bring in my xbox, and I could keep three others unproductive with me.

The choice was obvious, but now I get to bring in my xbox on friday!

Cant take the day off, but I can piss my wife off and play all night and not pay attention to her. Sounds like a reasonable exchange. Halo the original got me single the first time, maybe two times is a charm.#-o

Well, the wedding is not planned as mine. It is supposed to be taking place Monday, with me driving home Tuesday (unless, of course, I am to plastered from the night before at the reception to drive :-)

Also, people who live on EST (like me), will get the game at least 1 hour earlier than everyone else. I feel sorry of those in places like California and people on Mountain time...No wait, no I don't.
