it should be an mp3... though when i look at it, it's m3u, that's weird, let me see if i can fix it

Good stuff guys. Great job hosting as well Ender.

Question though, why was everyone under the impression that having an AGE tourney with DLC is rare? I'm pretty sure DLC has been used in the vast, vast majority of AGE tournies. I think all eight of the BoW tournies, both King of Beers leagues, both Horde Challenges, the CoD league that happened after the maps came out, etc etc all used the DLC.

good job.


My only qualm was the audio level seemed sort of low compared to previous episodes. I know hitting a good target audio level is hard, but I've tried to shoot for higher so that people can at least turn it down some if need be...Especially since it seemed that Ender's voice was the lowest in volume.

Granted I haven't listened, but the funny thing is I was making a conscious effort to keep myvoice down due to my kids

Does anyone know of a file converter I could use? I listen to the podcasts on my phone but this file type doesn't seem to be supported on my BB, MP3 is though. I like to listen to these away from my comp, but if no one knows of any that's cool.

Yea I fixed it today about two hours after i posted it. if you redownload it it should be an mp3

I can hear Ender great but no one else (although I am using earbuds so I can't pump the volume too high). I'll listen to it on my PC so I can play with the volume more. Looking forward to it [Y]

I was listening using a headset at first and Ender was coing through mostly just one ear and then everyone else was mostly coming through the other. I switched to my computer speakers and I don't notice the issue now since they are 4 inches apart.

Haha, my bad guys, first time really trying to edit any audio, I've fixed most of these issues now, I can reupload if it's a big issue.

I'd just re-emphasize that the editors follow the ID3 tagging that fordhamSteve posted in the podcast planning thread.


I was actually going to suggest having just a thread or single post with all the technical details for our editors so that we can have consistent naming of the podcasts.

Hmmm...still have to wait while I'm able to wear both earbuds...maybe during lunch.

possibly. guess AzShrap could create a private forum for Podcast editors and this info could stay there and not get lost in the middle of threads.

For the ID3 settings, techniques, naming, etc. I would rather see an AGE 101 blog post like we have for AGE TV and so on. For the password, I keep most of our passwords in a couple threads in an Admin/Dev forums ... I would rather keep the podcast login info there and supply it ondemand to those that need it.


For any furthering discussions for podcast settings, hosting, etc. I think having them public is better. We got lots of good suggestions from those that otherwuse would have not seen the thread(s).

either way works for me so long as I don't have to keep digging for the posts to verify the settings (sometimes my memory fails me)

Listened to some of it at lunch. Really enjoyable. I got to hear the first part of Geasy's thoughts. I have to agree with him about the music. It is really good. One of the first things I did was download it from sumthingdigital.com.


And Waya.....tisk tisk. I have one issue with your theory about memories clouding how good older games/films were in comparison to new stuff....


I still have and play those old movies (Star Wars) and my old NES stuff. So I don't have to rely on old memories.

I like how I get referenced every time someone swears now. All I said was to try to keep it to relatively clean so people can listen to wherever. An occasional word or two is not a big deal.

That could be pretty funny. Really, I'm just hoping once we're on iTunes we can keep from getting the "Explicit" tag because that seems to turn a lot of people off. Plus, I'm selfish and I want to be able to listen to the podcast without having to worry about if my kid is in the room.

My view in general about language for a podcast is more in line with the expectation of what I'd find on network (not Cable) TV. So pretty much PG-13 or so. Not because I'm a prude or anything (as anyone that has gamed with me knows), but more to keep the AGE discussion cleaner. We're all adults that can discuss gaming with a greater vocab than a few choice curse words right?


We all know that in game dialog is different, though still depending on particular room/people it's important to respect people's tolerance levels.
