Room Hopping?

So I have noticed that there have been a lot of people room hopping like crazy. That doesn't bother at all. It does however annoy me if we are mid round. I mean we used to get one or 2 people that would do that but now its like every round. Whats going on?

are peeps just getting bored in some rooms? speaking for myself i think that the maps don't rotate quick enough,,,,i find anything under 3 rounds gets kind of monotonous,,, especially in some game type where i've been in a round for over 15 min[|-)]...... maybe we can use this thread to see what game type and settings are most exciting and dynamic for everyone to keep thing interesting[*-)]


that being said, as AGEs we shouldn't be bailing out on a AGE room until the round is over[:O]

Room hopping in the middle of the round is a little silly ... especially if you are the leader in guardian ... lookin' at you Killbot ...

It is hard not to take that like: 'fun playing with you guys .... but I woule rather be somewhere else'

It doesn' really bother me, though, unless it becomes viral ... like at a party when one person 'makes the move' to leave and soon everyone is gne.

Yeah it does give me that what did I do feeling. I don't even mind if you drop mid round if you let everyone know. But the drops when no one knows suck the worst. At first I think that maybe there was a disk error or something.

I think it's because so many people are playing right now. I've been getting all kinds of invites and messages. When things slow down in a month it will be back to just Munds bailing out of the room[;)]

Maybe it will slow down when/if they patch the private room / join in progress issue. People will less likely leave if they know they can't join in progress.


Like Smoke said. Now that there are so many options and game types some may be getting bored? I know some people still want to play nothing but execution. Personally I like to mix it up.

Yeah, Cdub and I discussed this last night.


I don't care about people room hoping. I think it's a great way to play with lots of people during the night...but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....at least wait until the round is over!!! By leaving mid-round what happens is not so much that we are now left shorthanded...that's no big deal. <span style="font-size: medium;">But remember that the room hopper now opens a spot up for the GP attack.>

You dont even have to play in a GP match is the problem. If anyone in the room has or they have an asshat on their FL you are screwed.

Its a good thought. I don't think it works that way though. I think it works for matchmaking type stuff.

Then we'd fill the open slot and keep going. I guess the people coming could have been hopping in from other rooms, but it did not seem like it.

Sorry about that, I was hoping I had dropped out of room in time for a bot to be assigned to my spot. I didn't drop because I was bored, it was because I had been wanting to play some horde for two days and when an opportunity popped up I din't want to miss it. The previous day I had accepted another invite about five minutes before getting a horde invite, and so as not to be a douche nozzle I stayed in that room for a while hoping to get another chance at horde, but no such luck, it kind of left my PTM finger a bit nervous.

I think that there are only a feww that do this. Most people let you know that it will be their last game and then let you know when they are leaving. There are always some good reasons...My internet connection went dead mid-game on firday for me...the bad part was I was the HOST! I do think that this will settle down but it is nice that someone brings it up, so that others who are not quite so schooled at the "unwritten rules" of Gears, will learn
