This is my favourite online game mode by far. I do llike how the terrorist AI is rabidly aggressive now with inhuman reaction times. I'm disappointed that the spawning system is still in place, making it hard to really develop any real strategies for beating a map or even working the old system of triggering the enemy spawns.

Playing solo or with the unreliable AI buddies is truly a deadly experience. for myself. I wonder if it's a purely technical limitation that caused them to implement the spawning or if they thought it was an easy way to increase the diffuclty?

Well, has anyone come upon some solid strategies for tackling the new-look T-Hunts?

I think the best strategy we've found on many maps is split up in twos with each person trying to watch a certain direction so you don't get flanked. It always seems to come down to somebody needing to run out and spawn them and then run back. However, sometimes they spawn right behind you anyway.

It's definitely a challenge at times. I think smoke works great at times because you can run out to spawn them and not be seen.

This is how it happens in an adversarial game against human opponents as well (I know if I'm in a firefight against a shotty I always run right to the player as soon as I hear those shells reloading) so I guess no surprise for T-hunt.

That's why I roll with the XM Noob shotty in TH- much faster reload.

Take it slowly and watch your back. The enemy AI do flank more in this game. They have their stupid moments like standing and staring off into space. Take a advantage of those moments.

I have come up with some map specific strategies, based on the trial and error of playing the same maps over and over. Mostly I use the "Chicken" approach. One the spawn area is clear wait for a minute or so then pick the next area you want to clear. Take one step inside the door of the new area, throw a grenade randomly and then sprint back to the farthest hiding place you can find. 5-10 guys will appear and rush you 3-4 seconds later. Rinse and Repeat as needed.

are you guys usually doing co-op? because I haven't tried t-hunt with another player, but doing it alone with my squad of 2 mates is hard as hell. I don't think I've gotten any lower than 15 remaining players.

I say you have Cokebear run out into the room and it will surely bring down 8 or more onto your team.....LOL. Of course you all will be laughing so hard you won't be able to shoot any of them.

Co-op for T-Hunt is the way to go. Lots of fun, and a lot easier to play stratigically.

It is a great mode! I didn't really play it much in the first Vegas and feel like I really missed out.

YES! I've noticed the reloading thing wiht other guns too. All is quiet, then I decided to reload a few spent rounds into my clip and Bam, a couple terrorists decide to come out of a doorway. Doesn't always work tho.

As for playing t-hunt solo... at least on Realistic anyway, you are basically meat. Jung and Michaels aren't reliable enough to cover your back and sending them ahead doesn't trigger terrorists like it does in Story mode. Many times, as I was directing my squadmates to walk to a new area, they just spawn a couple terrorists beside or behind me. So... yeah, it's crazy hard going it alone.

I found a thread on the forums over at xbox.com with a pretty good walkthrough for each map.
