Ok, I had a few problems with the movie, so here goes:

1. I really really hoped that either Anakin would pick the name Darth Vader or Palpatine would give it to him and it have some meaning. But it didn't have the impact I thought it should have. It was just like: your name is Darth Vader. Congrats, go kill some jedi.

2. Chewbacca and the Wookiees were not in it as much as was hyped (and hoped for). That could have been a pivotal battle in the movie, instead, they had about 10- 20 mins of screen time.

3. Padme says in the beginning when Anakin comes back from rescuing Palpatine that he's been gone so long, it felt like forever (or something to that effect), then announces she's pregnant and is not showing at all! 20 mins later, she's starting to show. It seems from their discussion that he's been gone too long for her just now to find out she's pregnant and not show.

4. Grievous was too easy to kill. The thing had 4 arms all with lightsabers! Obi-Wan took him on alone, disarmed 2 arms in 5 mins, had him with no lightsabers 5 mins later. If anyone's seen the clone wars cartoon, they saw Grievous take on 5 Jedi at once and whoop their asses without pushing himself much...which brings me to:

5. Those Jedi Grievous killed in the Clone Wars cartoon were back in Ep. 3. If you're going to allow someone to use your characters in a middle story to what you're doing, please, George, have some continuity!

I'll probably get attacked by all you SW fans, but I wanted to put my thoughts down. It was much better than the crap that was Ep. 1 and an improvement over Ep. 2, but I think all three movies could never be the OT and they'll always be a little childish and over the top for me. The dialogue, the humor, the characters. It just never seemed true to the originals. It's not that I didn't like it, there was a lot I DID like. I think it was just not what I built it up to be in my head. A lot of stuff was set up, and now I'm gonna go watch A New Hope.

But what do I know?

1.) Yeah, the entire "pledging himself" to Palpatine was a bit anti-climatic and forced.

2.) I agree. Kashyyk wasn't shown enough. I do think it's neat that it looks just like the level in Star Wars: Battlefront.

3.) This stumped me, too. I'm thinking Anakin really isn't the father. Obiwan was tapping that ass on the weekends. :goatlove1

4 & 5.) Well, we haven't seen Clone Wars 2, yet. During the movie, Grievous is coughing a weezing a lot. My guess is, he gets hurt in the cartoon series. Obiwan did kick his ass a bit easily, though.

Now, I want to know how Qui-gon Jinn learned how to go all spirit form after he's already dead. How does that work? It seems like they just tacked this little fact on to appease fans.

And what happened between Episode 3 and 4 that caused R2-D2 to lose the ability to fly? It sure would have helped him out on Tatooine.

What was the point of Jar Jar Binks being assigned to the position he was in Episode 2? I mean, I'm glad they didn't have him in the movie (aside from a couple of shots), but they didn't explain this. There had to have been some reason that they decided to drop.

The way Bail Organa jumped at the chance to adopt Leia was a little.... creepy. I think he and his wife may have been dressing her up in that slave outfit from Return of the Jedi during a lot of her formative years.

The Jar Jar issue of him taking padames place was that lucas needed someone that could be influenced to make the motion to give palpitine the emergency powers he had, If ya remember in ep 2 Palp. sez in front of double jar , somrthing to the effect of "I wish padme were here she would set me up with the needed motion to give me emergency powers" and then lucas cut to double jars face and hesa tinking maybe hesa gonna give tha motion maybesa. Although I wouldnt let that retarded rasta frog-camle faced idoit take any kind of important influential role none the less lucas put him there to serve a plot purpose. Anyhow they show jar jar setting it into motion and the senate votes him in ....

The book clears up a lot more than the movie did.

I was WAY disappointed movie, especially in the Dooku fight - sucked ass in the movie/rocked in the book; Obi Wan against Grievous, again rocked in the book; Padme and Anakin relationship as well as her role in the Senate (they don't go into the attempted plot that Organa, Padme, and a few other Senators plan to take out the Chancelor); and how Mace Windu goes out...the book ties things up nicely and really gets to the brass tacks about Sith/Jedi as well as that whole living in the Force deal.

One more thing that pissed me off about the movie is how they didn't show how torn Anakin was when he found out that Palpatine was Darth Sidous. In the book he was all crying and what not and in the movie he was just so matter of fact. I can't stress enough that everyone should read the book to get a better understanding of the movie.
