my favorites ...

- Auto host find when the old host drops
- Team Objective has now been split up. Gametypes included now available individually
- New seperate playlists for hardcore Team and Search and Destroy.

Those were my main gripes with the game, host dropping, and the lack of individual gametypes. And thats the main reason I hosted private matches with Game Nights; because I hated how it forced you to play all the gametypes when hosting Team Objective playlists. It's nice to have them all broken out into their own now.

I really wish they would let you get rid of the default weapon loadouts and replace with your customized ones.

<P mce_keep="true">I'm definitely glad to see some of the important fixes being addressed, but I really have to side with Grumpy's request. I am just holding out til I get to Level 55 then hoping we start running more AGE private rooms. I would still enjoy running around against the GP with AGErs every so often, but a good private room is better IMO.

With every fps game I play, I always pick 2 or 3 weapons and stick with them forever. So leveling up is not an issue for me at all. I have been playing private matches from the beginning and have never felt limited in any way. I just wish everyone else would do the same, instead of worrying about their rank. But at the same time, I understand peoples desire to rank up - damn temptrest she is.

I do think they screwed this game up for groups like ours a bit. I've hardly ever played private matches - only in your rooms Sharky. In Gears, you gained no points for unranked matches but you also didn't have to play them to get stuff, and you didn't have a little rank symbol beside your name. I bet I played about 1,000,000 private Gears matches and 5 ranked.

I would enjoy more Private matches as well. I like pwning the GP as an option, but would like the other option as well. But then all those kills just feel, well...... wasted....

Well, as soon as a get my new Xbox 360 back from Microsoft (RROD), you can expect me to start hosting private matches again. So, keep a look out. I expect to have it back before next Thursday's CoD4 Game Night.

Well for me it's not so much the rank as it is, as you mentioned, the fact that this game rewards (or forces) you more than ever for playing ranked since you have to do it to unlock weapons. Like you, I also stick to just a couple weapons but it was kind of annoying when S&amp;D came up on the boat map and the other team was just able to use their 3x grenade perk to carpet bomb our side of the boat with frags at the start of every round and we couldn't fire back since only 2 of us had played enough ranked matches to unlock that perk.

Same thing with the P90. Seems like any time I pick that gun up off a dead guy I can do pretty well with it but I don't have it unlocked myself.

Hopefully this patch fixes some of the issues with players getting dropped from the party when starting a match.

I thought it was just me. Even in the tourney, there were a few times when I would unload half a clip on someone only to get shot in the face, but then the kill-cam never showed me shoot and they unloaded a decent amount before I died. The matches were still a hell of a lot more fun than the GP, so I didn't get nearly as angry as with the GP, though. I just filed it away in the "hmm, that was interesting" category of my brain.

Hmmmm, even though I have experienced lag in CoD4 it is nowhere near as bad as in Gears and its outrageous host shottie advantage.

I play and compete in CoD4 on the PC and in competitions you're only allowed the following perks (if memory serves me correctly)...

PERK1- Bandolier

PERK2-Stopping Power, Slight of Hand

PERK3- Deep Inpact, Steady AIM

Plus you get no UAV scans, Air Strike, and Hellicopter.

Matches work out good this way, especially not having any of the killing streak perks. Something to concider for next tourney.

Thanks for the suggestion Migz, limiting things a bit might be a good idea for a league. Maybe not that restrictive but at least something like that to keep things from getting out of hand. Pretty sure we've all been on the opposite team when the other team has a UAV up the entire time and you spend the rest of the match hidding from airstrikes and choppy and it sucks.

That just explains why you can only sprint for about 15 feet before you go back to normal.
