<P mce_keep="true">They mentioned 16 MP maps out of the box, also. Nice. No mention of co-op or map editors of any kind, from what I remember. Guess neither made it.

<P mce_keep="true">Everything I've read mentions IW is saving some surprises, so we'll see. Honestly - co-op...I always say 'how great it will be', but NEVER played through a co-op game. So, it's no big deal to me. Map editors...never really screwed with them, even on PC, so that too is no big deal.

The SpikeTV gamehead show from this past friday was about COD4 with an interview with developers.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">16 >Maps Confirmed, you get to play as 2 different "millitary groups" during the SP campaign, supposedly the style/approach to challanges is different between the 2. Prestige mode unlocked at level 65. It allows you to reset your stats back to 0 losing all the weapons and upgrades, but puts gives you a nifty icon indicating that you did this, you can do this I think 8 times to max out your Prestige. They also showed awesome footage of some of the scipted sequences. The game is looking beter and better everytime I see it.

The Prestige mode is an interesting idea, pretty sure I'll do it since the stuff I used most didn't take long to unlock. Granted we didn't get to see everything but I found that the stuff I used most (perks and weapons) were available pretty quick.

So let me get this straight, I can get lapped in shooters just like racing games? Great! That's all I need is to be busting my balls trying to get to level 10 and I get matched up with some uber players that have reset their level four or five times. I'm sure that's going to be a fair match. [8-)]

My understanding is that their "tru rank" skill stays the same. It's just that they loose their ingame rank and weapon upgrades. Ie to show that they can compete with others in high rank matches but with out all the upgrades. Newbies should not end up getting into ranked matches with them.. but you may endup seeing a "Rank 1 Prestige 1 player" vs a "Rank 65 player" game.

<P mce_keep="true">Correct. You won't get tossed into a game when you're a private with someone who has reset their stats, who is a private again...but really going back through the process.
