This will always be hard to believe, but usually this is the way breaking news starts...it is tough to believe that something like this would happen (and that MSFT would let this happen),could you imagine what would happen toall the support that Bungie is expected to provide to the Halo 3 MP, well, maybe they are not breaking up in that sense so they would keep supporting that part... anyway even if MSFT keeps the rights to the Halo franchise,I do not think it'sworth muchwithout Bungie behind...Halo 4 would not be the same

But if we think about the guys at Bungiecaring also about being creative besides just thinking about the money, I definitively understand that they want to do something else than Halo, but MSFT will never allow that, too risky...Bungie had a project going on some years ago but I do not know what happened to it... what do you think guys?... the only other platform where Bungie could develop is obviously the PS3?..but I think this is about being multiplatform...

It might be the case that Bungie wants to move away from theonline stuff (feature which of course MSFT demandsto be included in anything Bungie wants to develop) and provide instead a SP experience that can be expanded with DLC?, or maybe just something else than Halo... I dont know, I'm just speculating, which is always fun![:P]... I'll stop now![A]

The source was identified as "a friend of mine who has someone close that works at Bungie".

I will believe it when I see it.A friend of mine who is close to someone at the Treasury told me "not to take wooden nickels".

If it true it must be made official during the coming days...if true I'm more curious about what types of game Bungie has in mind and if they will be as successful without the MSFT budget behind all the marketing

This isn't that big of a deal IMO. Bungie has always kept MS at arms length. They retain the publishing agreement and will still be pushing out Halo titles. If anything it's for appearances only.
